This week, I was introduced to CodeAcademy! It’s a great place to find courses on various technologies. However, I only tried out the free CSS and HTML classes. I plan to spend more time with CodeAcademy this summer. I want to be able to create my own websites entirely and not have to use templates.  Before I tried these tutorials, I thought they were out of reach, but the classes are done, so you can create them as you complete them. The only downside is that each class takes a lot of time. But as you go through the process, it shows you what you have created. I did the first sections in HTML and CSS and created a bear and hiker page. But I do plan to spend more time on this site. There also are paid classes if anyone is interested in other programs. I’d suggest trying the free tutorials first, but they built confidence in my ability to create my own website from scratch one day.
