We used the freely accessible Tableau Public. But it still has the features needed to create a data analysis. We didn’t have a Lab in class on this tool. But I could reasonably figure out the methods it uses. Much of my future work in History will need simple ways to show my data. It must be put into a visual tool based on my database information. Using digital tools like this to frame a database makes it far easier to understand extensive data. There are a few projects I’d like to work on in the future. I will be working with an extensive collection of data. I am especially interested in using this tool for cultural—data collection. I want to create graphs showing race and age variables for a survey project.
